INFINITE LIVES

When the title screen appears, type the following somewhat unsavioury term (youngsters look away - or at the very least squint - now):

HAIRYARSEHOLES

If you've performed this correctly, the display border should change color to indicate that both players have been granted infinite lives!
 

CARTRIDGE POKES

Run the game, then hit the left button on the back of your Action Replay (or similar) cartridge and press E before entering the following codes:

POKE 18429,181 (unlimited lives - player 1)
POKE 19871,189 (unlimited lives - player 2)

Once you're done, press F3 (or type SYS 6144 if you are without an AR cartridge) to restart the game with cheats intact.
